Some members old enough to remember when there were automated threads created just for them when they registered on Anarchology would remember they were posted to a sub-section where this one is now placed. By the time we stopped the automated posts, the 'Newbie Check-in' section had over 6,000 automated posts. The vast majority of newly registered members never even posted to their automated topics.

Those topics were a waste of time and space as far as we were concerned. We have pruned all of them from the forum and from our database. This may doctor the post counts for some of our memberd depending on whether or not they posted in that section. In it's place, we have added a new board. If you are reading this post, you are looking at it. Newly registered members are welcome to post new topics giving little information about who they are, what they like, and how they came across Anarchology. It isn't mandatory, if anyone was wondering. Just consider this section as a way for us to get to know our user base that will help us better the site.
