I stumbled across this little tutorial on how to build a pocket sized amplifier that could give an extra boost to headphones. It looks as if building this little guy on your own saves you some cash over buying a commercial counterpart. Personally, I can't yet think of a use for it in my own practical life, but I'm sure someone out there would find this interesting. Hell, this might actually be a good science project for all the kids that SHOULDN'T be on this forum!

I'm in the process of building one, I am going to make one with two amp chips instead of using one with two amps on one chip.  Already got the chips and most of the other parts, lacking a small stereo pot.
But those are cheap to buy, so my laziness is the problem.  Roll Eyes

I'm going to build it for my mobile phone, as I can't hear conversations in noisy places.

Really a great project for those looking to dip their toes into the world of circuit building.  It's incredibly easy to find parts, and construction can be easily finished for under $50.
