Bit late,  but Recuva is good. http://www.piriform.com/recuva

Piriform makes good software in general. Due to how files are stored and how file recovery works, not sure how good your results are going to be if you've used your computer a lot since you deleted the files.

I accidently deleted some important files from my Android phone. I managed to get back my files using Dr.Fone Android Data Recovery. Not easy to use, but did the job.

If you want to recover lost files from android phone, you can try iPubsoft Android Data Recovery, it could recover kinds of data from android phone, like sms, contacts, photos, etc. have a try

Piriform is a good file recovery software in general. Due to how files are stored and how file recovery works, not sure how good your results are going to be if you've used your computer a lot since you deleted the files.

This is  really a good program to recover photos. But you need to pay for advanced features.

Just to add to the discussion, I installed recuva for Android not so long ago because I've deleted some pictures by accident and it successfully recovered my files.

For Windows, my personal favorite is TestDisk. Not only it can recover your data, it can recover your boot sector, fix MFT, ...
