Would it offend you--I think it would offend males, most--if: A man asked you: "Not to pay so much attention to his daughters" ?

Not meanin' to sound paranoid like the father, but, someone just saying that is
Two fathers I asked said they would

Both say they were justified to get angry. Both had raised a daughter and went thru this protective phase-to have someone insinuate they lust over anyone's daughter seems to them as if they would lust after their own. Hence their ire.
Am I being reasonable? I, in this situation got on the defensive. I even took offense to his insisting I don't: "Trip on it". See above for my justification.
